Why visit the shop

At Decodeman you will find decor and fashion under one roof. You can put a vase next to a cushion, feel the texture of a fabric or see how a colour looks in daylight. Clothes can be tried on in the shop, so you know straight away which size and cut suit you.

Only part of the range is online. In the shop there is more clothing and a wider choice of jewellery and accessories. Everything is chosen personally by Camille, who has run the business since 2022. She is happy to help you work out what suits your home or your wardrobe, or to find a present for someone else. For more inspiration, have a look at our gift ideas.

Most visitors are first greeted by Omer, our dachshund and resident shop dog.

How to reach Zeelaan in Koksijde-Bad

From Sint-Idesbald it is a drive of just a few minutes, barely 2 kilometres. From Oostduinkerke or De Panne it is about 4 kilometres, and around 9 from Veurne. Coming from Nieuwpoort, the drive is about 10 kilometres, roughly ten minutes, while Diksmuide is some 22 kilometres away, a little over twenty minutes by car. Without a car, the easiest option is the Coast Tram (Kusttram), which runs along the coast from De Panne through Sint-Idesbald to Koksijde and on to Oostduinkerke and Nieuwpoort. Get off at the Koksijde Bad stop on Koninklijke Baan. From there it is a walk of about half a kilometre inland along Zeelaan to the shop. The tram ride takes around 5 minutes from Sint-Idesbald, about ten minutes from De Panne and roughly 20 minutes from Nieuwpoort.

If you come by train, get off at Koksijde station, a little over four kilometres inland. It is on the direct line from Antwerp and Ghent to De Panne, and shared bikes and a shared car are available at the station. You can also stay on the train to De Panne and take the Coast Tram from there.

If you drive, note that on Zeelaan, between the traffic lights at Koninklijke Baan and the De Poort roundabout, parking is paid every day. The first half hour is free if you enter your number plate at the parking meter. At the car park of the Onze-Lieve-Vrouw ter Duinenkerk church there is a blue zone, where you use a parking disc from 9am to 6pm, except on Sundays and public holidays.

Opening hours

The shop is open on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, from 10.30am to 12.30pm and from 2pm to 6pm. We are closed on Tuesday. We are also closed on Thursday, except in July and August, when the shop opens on Thursdays too, with the same hours.

Would you like to know whether a piece is still in the shop? Call us on 0491 36 76 08 or email info@decodeman.be. You will find answers to other practical questions in our FAQ.

Combine your visit with the beach and the promenade

From the shop, walk along Zeelaan towards the sea, past the Koksijde Bad tram stop, and in less than a quarter of an hour you are on the Zeedijk, the seafront promenade of Koksijde-Bad. It is an easy way to turn your visit into half a day at the seaside: a walk on the beach first and then time to browse in the shop, or the other way round.

Because we are open on Sundays, a visit fits nicely into a weekend on the coast. Just keep the lunch break between 12.30pm and 2pm in mind.

Stay a little longer at Villa Deman

Fancy staying longer? Villa Deman is our family's holiday home: a farmhouse built by Camille's grandparents and restored by Marc. It has three bedrooms for 5 people plus a little one, an enclosed garden of 1,650 m², an infrared sauna and an open fireplace. Dogs are welcome, the dunes are 150 metres away and the beach and the town centre are within 2 kilometres.
