Patchwork cushion in rabbit fur

A cushion in rabbit fur, made up of pieces of fur joined together into a patchwork. It is made of 100 per cent rabbit fur and closes with a zip. A soft, warm accent for a sofa, an armchair or a bed.

What patchwork means for the look

Fur in one piece has an even fall. Patchwork does not: at every seam the direction in which the hair lies can change, and so can the way the light falls on it. That gives the surface movement, which shifts as you walk through the room. That is not an imperfection but the hallmark of this way of working.

Where it goes

On a leather or linen sofa, where the contrast between smooth and shaggy does the work. In an armchair by the window. On a bed as a loose piece above the bedspread. Do not put it where someone rubs against it daily; fur wears where it rubs, and you see that first on the seams.

Care

Shake it out and, if needed, brush it lightly in the direction of the hair. Not in the washing machine and not in the tumble dryer. Dab stains straight away with a slightly damp cloth and let it air dry, never near a heat source. For a thorough clean a fur specialist is the way to go. Do not store it in plastic; fur needs air.

The zip

Thanks to the zip you can take out the filling to air it or replace it, without having to work on the fur itself.

Two fur cushions side by side quickly gets heavy; one among plain cushions keeps the attention where it belongs.
