Gold pineapple wall mirror, decorative mirror 50 x 26 cm

A wall mirror in the shape of a pineapple: a playful eye-catcher with a chic twist. The gold-coloured finish is lightly weathered rather than gleaming new, and an ornate lattice runs across the mirror glass.

Dimensions and style

• 50 cm high x 26 cm wide x 3.5 cm deep
• Colour: gold with a lightly weathered finish
• Style: vintage, eclectic, tropical chic

What kind of piece this is

This is not a mirror to look at yourself in, it is too small and too elaborate for that. It is an object that happens to reflect. The lattice over the glass divides the reflection into small panes, so you see the shape before you see the reflection. Perfect for giving an empty wall just that bit of extra character.

Where it hangs

In the entrance hall, where it is the first thing you see. In the living room or the bedroom, above a narrow console or a cabinet. Or as a striking detail among other wall decoration in a small group, where the gold tone holds the other pieces together.

Hanging

Hang it at eye level or just above. Choose a fixing that suits your wall and the weight. With a group on the wall, it works better to align the bottom edges than the centres, because the eye reads the bottom edge as a line. Lay the pieces out on the floor first before you drill holes.

Combining

Gold with a weathered tone goes with green, terracotta, rattan and warm wood, and gives a touch of tropical chic to a calm interior. Against a dark wall the gold stands out; against a white wall it looks softer.

Care

Dust with a dry, soft cloth or a soft brush, because dust collects in the lattice. Do not spray glass cleaner directly on the gold finish. If needed, spray on the cloth, not on the object.
