What it does for a room

A figurative work gives a wall a different character to an abstract one. It suits spaces where you sit and unwind. In the living room, the dining room or the bedroom it gives the wall a counterpart, so the room feels warmer. It works in a sleek interior as well as a warmly furnished one.

Where it hangs

Above a seating area, a sideboard or the headboard of a bed. Hang the centre of the painting at about 150 cm above the floor. Above a piece of furniture, leave 20 to 25 cm between the top of the furniture and the bottom of the frame. Give it some free wall on either side, so that it can work as an eye-catcher.

Styling

The wooden frame goes nicely with natural materials such as wood, rattan, linen and velvet. A few candles, a carafe or a vase on the furniture below reinforce the relaxed mood of the work. Against a white or warm wall the relief shows to best effect.

Care

Dusting with a dry, soft cloth is enough. Do not use water or cleaning products on the image. The wooden frame can be wiped with a slightly damp cloth, then dried straight away. Do not hang it in long periods of direct sunlight or directly above a heat source.
