Driftwood wall decoration, 101 x 59 cm

This driftwood wall decoration measures 101 by 59 cm, a size that fits an ordinary wall. Because it is made of driftwood, every piece is different: no two pieces have exactly the same shapes, grain or shades.

Lead time

A lead time of three to four weeks applies to this piece. Keep that in mind if you want it on the wall by a certain date, for example after a renovation or as a gift. After that it is shipped with bpost; shipping costs depend on size and weight and are shown at checkout. Free collection in the shop is possible too.

Why every piece is different

Driftwood is wood that has lain in the water for a long time. Water, sand and sun each work on it in their own way, and you see that in the wood: no piece has the same shape or weathering. The photo therefore shows the kind of piece you will get, not an exact copy. If you want to know more about the piece you would receive, feel free to ask Camille.

Where it hangs

Above a sideboard, a bed or a seating area. At this size it does not ask for a whole wall to itself, but it does need some empty space around it to come into its own. It works well against a painted wall in a muted shade, where the natural wood stands out without shouting. In an interior with linen, reed and other natural materials it falls into place at once, and in a house by the sea all the more so.

Hanging

Choose a fixing that suits your wall type and the weight of a wooden wall decoration of this size. If you are unsure, feel free to ask Camille how best to hang the piece.

Care

Dry dusting with a soft brush is enough. Driftwood has received its weathered look through nature, so do not make it wet and do not treat it with oil or varnish. The weathering is the finish.
