Dragonfly wall decoration in gold with small mirrors

This wall decoration in the shape of a dragonfly is made of resin with a gold finish. The design is detailed and refined, and small mirrors give a sparkling effect as soon as the light falls on them. At 26 by 35 cm, it is a modest piece that still draws attention.

Size and material

• 26 x 35 cm
• Resin with gold finish
• Decorated with small mirrors
• Can be hung with a small nail

Light and place

Small mirrors only do something when light falls on them. On a wall next to a window or opposite a lamp they catch the light and throw it back; in a dark spot in the hall, the dragonfly stays calmer. It pays to look first at where the light in the room comes in before you choose a spot.

Where it hangs

In a corridor, a bedroom, a bathroom or above a cupboard. The size is modest enough to hang alone without looking empty. On a muted or dark wall the gold stands out; on a white wall it looks softer and mainly the sparkle of the small mirrors plays.

In combination

If you want more, hang the dragonfly together with the butterfly, which is also made of resin with a gold finish and small mirrors. Do not hang them in a strict line, but play with the height and the space between them: that way it reads as a small collection rather than a row. It also works well next to a mirror or a framed print with a gold frame.

Hanging and care

The dragonfly is easy to fix to the wall with a small nail. Dust with a soft, dry brush, so that you also reach into the fine details of the design. Do not use aggressive cleaning products on the gold finish. If needed, clean the small mirrors carefully with a slightly damp cotton bud.

Because it hangs on a single small nail, you can easily move it later if your interior changes, without large holes in the wall.
