Butterfly wall decoration in gold with small mirrors

This wall decoration in the shape of a butterfly is made of resin with a gold finish. The butterfly design is detailed and refined, and is decorated with small mirrors that reflect the light in fragments. At 20.5 by 34 cm, it is a compact piece for places where there is little space.

Size and material

• 20.5 x 34 cm
• Resin with gold finish
• Decorated with small mirrors
• Can be hung with a small nail

A compact size

Thanks to the narrow size, the butterfly fits in places where a larger piece would be too much: next to a door frame, above a light switch, in a niche or on the narrow strip of wall between two cupboards. On a large empty wall it gets a little lost; there you are better off hanging a few together.

Where it hangs

In a bedroom, a corridor, a child's room or a bathroom. On a muted wall the gold lights up, on white it looks softer. Hang it where light falls on it, for example opposite a window, so that the small mirrors have something to do.

In a group

The dragonfly is also made of resin with a gold finish and small mirrors, but is a little larger. Together they form a small ensemble: the dragonfly as the largest piece, the butterfly as the smallest, at uneven heights and with some space between them. That way it reads as a collection rather than a set.

Hanging and care

A small nail is enough to fix it to the wall. Dust with a soft, dry brush, so that you also reach into the details of the design. Do not use aggressive cleaning products on the gold finish. Remove fingerprints on the small mirrors carefully with a slightly damp cotton bud.

The compact size also makes it suitable as a first piece for anyone who has nothing on the wall yet. A small object on an empty wall feels less final than a large canvas, and you see at once whether the gold does in your light what you expect of it.
