Why dark brown and not black

Lace in black is formal and reads at once as evening wear. In dark brown something else happens: the same refinement, but warmer and less solemn. That makes the set wearable for an occasion where black would be too much, and it also combines with camel, rust and gold, where black only tolerates itself.

Together or apart

Worn together, it is a complete outfit for a special occasion. Apart, both work too: the skirt with a plain knit or a blouse, the top with jeans or smart trousers. That is why the two are available separately by size and not as one item; you choose your size per piece.

About trying it on

With a long skirt, your height determines where the hem falls, and that differs more between people than the size suggests. With lace, how the fabric sits over the hip also counts. Both are things you see in a mirror and not in a size chart.

Care
