Why a cape

A cape has no sleeves that pinch over a thick jumper. You put it on over what you are wearing, and the wide shape does the rest. That makes it easy for anyone who likes layers in autumn. The zip turns the cape into a proper coat: zipped up, you wear it as easily as a coat, and on chilly days the 70% wool keeps you wonderfully warm.

The fringes

The fringes along the hem move as you walk. They give the cape something playful and, together with the wide fit, make it a real eye-catcher.

Camel or navy

Camel is warm and light and combines with almost any jeans, with ecru and with brown. Navy is calmer and a little more formal, and looks lovely with grey, white and denim. If you are undecided, hold both colours against the coat or trousers you wear most often.

Combining

With jeans and boots for a smart casual look. Over a dress for a dressier outfit, with the dress allowed to show below the cape. Because of the volume of the cape, slim trousers or a straight dress underneath work best.

Care

Follow the care label, and if in doubt feel free to ask Camille for advice. Between wears, airing and brushing is often enough. Then gently straighten the fringes with your fingers and hang the cape on a wide hanger so that it keeps its shape.
