Solid teak root wood console with glass top | Decodeman

This console has a base in solid teak root wood and a sleek glass top. Root wood has the most unpredictable structure of the tree, and you can see it: the base is shaped by the organic lines and structures of the wood itself, so every piece has a form of its own.

Material and finish

Solid teak root wood, combined with a sleek glass top. That contrast is the core of the design: the base is robust, irregular and natural, the top is flat, clear and modern. The glass shows the shape beneath it instead of hiding it, which a wooden top would do.

Dimensions

Because every base has grown differently, the dimensions vary between pieces. Feel free to ask Camille for the exact measurements.

Where it goes

As an eye-catcher in a hallway, where you walk past it and see the shape on several sides. In a living room against a calm wall. Or in a dining area as a serving piece. Wherever you put it, give it room: a root wood base against a full background loses its power.

Styling

Put little on it. The piece of furniture is the object. One bowl, one lamp, or nothing. Anything you add competes with a shape that always wins. A calm wall in a light tone lets the structure of the wood stand out best.

Care

Clean the glass with glass cleaner, sprayed on the cloth and not on the plate. Dust the wood dry, also in the hollows, where dust collects; a soft brush or a feather duster works better there than a cloth.

Good to know

Because the shape of the base is determined by the wood, every piece looks different. If you want to know which console is available at the moment, get in touch or come and have a look in the shop.
