Why ecru

A white or ecru fur coat is a bold choice. Ecru has a warm undertone and so looks softer than bright white. On a grey winter day it lights up your whole outfit, and it looks lovely with denim, camel, beige and brown. With black the contrast gets sharper and more graphic.

Zip instead of buttons

A zip is quicker to close than hooks or buttons and closes bottom to top without gaps. With a coat you wear every day, on the way to the baker or on a windy sea wall, that is the practical difference.

Styling

Casual over jeans with trainers or boots, or a little smarter over straight trousers and a fine polo neck. Because of the straight fit and the volume of the fur, something slim underneath works best.

Care

Follow the care label. In general keep faux fur clear of heat: not in the tumble dryer and not left to dry on the radiator, because the fibres will curl and never smooth out again. A light colour shows stains sooner: dab them straight away with a slightly damp cloth and let it air dry. Shake the coat out after wearing and hang it with plenty of room, so the fur is not squashed.

Sizes

S/M fits roughly size 36 to 40, L/XL roughly size 42 to 44. If you are between two sizes, come and try on both. The same coat also exists in dark brown.
