Why palm fibre

Natural fibres bring warmth and texture into an interior. Where a lamp in metal or plastic looks sleek and cool, palm fibre gives a softer, looser look. It goes with other natural materials such as rattan, jute, reed and linen, and it immediately feels a little summery without turning your room into a theme room.

Where it stands

In a corner of the living room, next to a reading chair or a sofa, or in a spacious hall. At 40 cm wide and 130 cm high, it is more compact than a classic floor lamp with a wide shade, so it also fits in a smaller room or an apartment. A calm background, such as a plain wall, shows off the texture of the fibre best.

Combining

Palm fibre combines well with light wood, rattan, linen and woollen throws. In a white or sand-coloured interior the lamp adds warmth, and among green plants it strengthens the natural feel. It also works nicely next to an armchair in teddy fabric or bouclé, where the textures play off each other.

Light

Choose a light source with warm white light: it suits a natural material best and gives a cosy atmosphere in the living room in the evening.

Care

Natural fibres need gentle care. Dust the lamp now and then with a soft brush or feather duster and keep it dry.
