Delia floor lamp in wood look with rope shade

This Delia floor lamp brings atmosphere to your interior with natural tones: a base in wood look and a refined shade of cream rope. Together they give a calm, contemporary look that suits a modern interior and just as well a country style of home.

Shape and material

• Base in wood look
• Shade with cream rope
• Slim shape with a compact diameter
• Natural tones

If you want to measure the spot beforehand, feel free to ask Camille for the exact height and the diameter of the shade.

Where it goes

Thanks to the slim shape and the compact diameter this floor lamp takes up little room. That makes it ideal for subtly lighting a dark corner, or for bringing extra cosiness next to the sofa or in the bedroom. A floor lamp with a compact shade mainly lights one spot and not the whole room: so put it where you really want the light, for example next to your favourite chair or next to the bed.

Mood lighting

A rope shade tempers the light and gives a warm glow. That makes this lamp especially suitable as mood lighting in the evening, alongside the main light in the room. If you want to read by it, choose a light source that gives enough light and put the lamp close to your seat, with the light coming over your shoulder.

Styling

The natural tones go with linen, wool, rattan and light or dark wood. In a modern interior the rope shade brings some warmth among clean lines; in a country interior it simply fits in with what is already there. Also choose the spot with the socket in mind and run the cord behind a piece of furniture rather than through the walkway.

Care

Dust the shade with a soft brush, following the direction of the rope. Wipe the base with a dry or slightly damp cloth, without harsh cleaning products. Always switch the lamp off and let the light source cool before you clean it.
