Tone on tone, and why that works

With jeans you get a tone-on-tone look: the denim on the collar and the sleeves returns in your trousers. In the navy version that looks calm, the same colour family top to bottom with only a difference in texture. That is less dull than a single material and yet calmer than a bright contrast. The brown version stands out more against the jeans and gives a warmer look.
