What a double row of buttons does

With a single row the closure runs down the middle and the jacket divides you into two halves. With a double row the overlap panel lies over the other half, creating two vertical lines instead of one. That makes the top broader and the waist narrower, and it is the reason double-breasted pieces look more formal than single-breasted ones without anything changing in the fabric.

The high collar

The collar stands up instead of lying flat, which closes off the neck and draws the eye upwards. Together with the double row of buttons that gives the jacket a stylish, smart look, even when the rest of your outfit stays simple.

As a set or separately

With the matching trousers you wear the jacket as a complete set, which reads as a suit. Separately it works over your favourite jeans, where it lifts the rest of the outfit without you having changed completely. A white blouse or a fine jumper underneath keeps the attention on the buttons and the collar.

About the sizes

S/M and M/L instead of single sizes means the model covers two sizes. The shoulder and the overlap are the points where that becomes noticeable, because a double row of buttons that is too roomy will wrinkle on the chest. Trying it on is therefore the best way to choose.

Care
