Aircraft model Concorde in aluminium

This aircraft model of the Concorde is made of aluminium and modelled on the original models that used to be seen in the travel agencies of the big airlines. The Concorde is one of the most iconic and most beautiful aircraft ever designed, and a feat of ingenious engineering.

Dimensions and material

• Length 46 cm
• Width 17.5 cm
• Height 21.25 cm
• Aluminium

The only aircraft of its kind

The Concorde is the only supersonic passenger aircraft ever built: London to New York in three hours. The slender, elegant shape ushered in a new era. On board it was glamorous, with only the finest wines and dishes. This desk model is a reminder of that chapter in the history of travelling in style, and a talking point for anyone who sees it standing.

Where it stands

On a desk, a console or a bookshelf. At 46 cm long, the model needs room in length, so measure the spot before you order it. At 17.5 cm wide, it is rather narrow: on a deep shelf it gets a little lost, on a narrow console it comes into its own. Against a calm, empty background the silhouette stands out best.

Combining

Aluminium goes with wood, leather and black metal. In a study, next to a pile of travel books or under a world map, it becomes a small travel corner. It is also an original gift for anyone who loves aircraft, technology or travel.

Care

Dust with a soft, dry cloth. Remove fingerprints with a slightly damp cloth, and buff dry at once. Do not use abrasive agents or aggressive polish on the metal. Lift the model under the fuselage and never by the nose or the wings.
