Sheepskin rug, brown

A brown sheepskin: warm, cosy and timeless. Soft enough to sit on, big enough to serve as a small rug. Because it is a natural product, size and colour differ per skin: no two sheep are alike, and you can see that.

Dimensions

• Roughly 80 to 115 cm long
• Roughly 50 to 70 cm wide
• Colour and size vary per piece

You choose your own skin

With every purchase we send you all of our skins, so that you can pick your favourite yourself. With a natural product with this spread in size and shade, a photo of one example says little. One brown skin is lighter, another darker, and which suits your interior is best seen by comparing them side by side.

Where it lies

Over the backrest or the seat of an armchair, over a stool, at the foot of a bed, or loose on the floor next to a sofa. On a smooth floor it can slide, so a non-slip mat underneath is handy.

Combining

Brown goes with warm materials such as wood, rattan, leather and linen, and gives a light sofa or a white chair more warmth at once. On a dark floor it stands out less and works mainly as a soft layer to sit on or put your feet on.

Care

Shake it out well regularly, which does most of the work. You can vacuum with a soft brush head on a low setting, always in the direction of the hair. Not in the washing machine and not in the tumble dryer: the leather on the back can shrink and go hard. Dab stains straight away with a slightly damp cloth and leave them to dry in the air, never on a radiator. In persistent sunlight the brown fades.

There is also a variant in white with brown, and for anyone looking for something bigger, there is a zebra hide in the shop.
