Sheepskins, reindeer and zebra hides
A natural hide brings warmth and texture to any room, on the floor, over a chair or on the sofa. This category covers sheepskins, a reindeer hide and a zebra hide. The sheepskins come in white, brown, and white with brown. Because they are a natural product, size and colour vary from one skin to the next, roughly 80 to 115 cm long and 50 to 70 cm wide. On request we send you photos of every sheepskin, so you can pick your favourite yourself. A reindeer hide is mainly decorative, while a zebra hide makes a striking floor piece. Hides are sent with bpost within 48 hours.
Sheepskin: soft and versatile
A sheepskin is lovely to sit on and also works as a small rug beside the bed or in front of the sofa. Choose from a white sheepskin, a brown sheepskin and a white and brown sheepskin, each 89 euros. Every skin is different, because no two sheep are identical.
Reindeer hide: one to admire
A reindeer hide (198 euros) has a soft undercoat of downy hair and a top coat of hollow, air-filled guard hairs. Those guard hairs are stiffer and can break if you walk or sit on them. Place a reindeer hide where there is little foot traffic, or drape it over a bench or chair.
Zebra hide: a piece for the floor
The zebra hide measures about 3.00 x 2.50 m and is tanned to be supple and soft. A certificate confirms that the zebra was legally culled in a protected park in South Africa, where the proceeds go towards maintaining the park.
Care
- Shake a hide out regularly outdoors and brush it with a wide-toothed brush.
- Blot stains straight away with a dry cloth and keep hides out of strong sunlight.

Can I walk or sit on a reindeer hide?
Better not. A reindeer hide has a top coat of hollow, air-filled guard hairs that are stiffer and can break when walked or sat on. It is meant as a decorative piece, placed where there is little foot traffic or draped over furniture.
Where does the zebra hide come from?
The zebra hide comes from a protected park in South Africa. A certificate confirms that the animal was legally culled there and that the proceeds are used to maintain and preserve the park. Zebras are not a protected species. The hide measures about 3.00 x 2.50 m.
